As a general rule, nearly all ceilings are restorable through cleaning only. The most common exception to this rule is an acoustical ceiling that has been painted subsequent to original installation.

Restorable: As a general rule, nearly all ceilings are restorable. Rare exceptions would include:

a. Previously painted ceilings wherein the paint condition on the ceiling grid surfaces is peeling.

b. Grossly water-damaged ceilings where a majority of the ceiling surface requires replacement.

c. In some cases, previously "cleaned" ceilings wherein the vendor has, through ineptitude, "embedded" carbons and other pollutants in the ceiling tiles.
